The Greek International Film Festival Tour (GIFFT) Vancouver is honoured to present a special screening of Saint Paisios, a feature film portraying the extraordinary life, faith, humility, and spiritual legacy of one of the most beloved Orthodox saints of our time.
The film will be shown on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the historic Dunbar Theatre in Vancouver, as part of GIFFT Vancouver’s 2026 festival.
Saturday, October 3, at the church of St. Ier. Nicholas and St. Ier. Elijah, Father Pr. C. I. Dragomir invites you to a dialogue inspired by the themes addressed in the film: about Orthodoxy, family, education, hesychia, and human relationships.
| Based on the life of Saint Paisios the Athonite, the film follows his spiritual journey and the experiences that shaped a humble man of deep faith into a figure loved by Orthodox Christians throughout the world. Produced with the blessing and support of the Orthodox Church through the Saint Maximos the Greek Institute and the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos, Saint Paisios offers audiences an opportunity to encounter his remarkable story on the big screen. While Saint Paisios holds a particularly special place in the hearts of Greek Orthodox faithful, his message transcends language and culture.
